OMEN Desktop PC 25L GT11-0000i / GT12-0000i (7WM02AV)

Recently I've been noticing my pc getting very loud while playing games and I just discovered via the OMEN Gaming Hub that both GPU & CPU temperatures range between 80 - 90 degrees Celsius when playing games (e.g Assassin's Creed Valhalla & Elden Ring) which to me seems very high.

On further investigation (Tried removing the side cover and listening to the various components) I discovered that the loudness seemed to be coming from the GPU fan.

Is a loud GPU fan normal or should I be taking any countermeasures to reduce both the noise and high temperature?

Just to give an example of how loud it is, my significant other is complaining about the noise from the living room next door to my office.

Hi @Firedogy

Seeing high CPU temps and high graphics card temps suggests you have a chassis airflow problem (GPU) and a CPU thermal problem.

Check the following YouTube videos for ways to upgrade to a AIO CPU liquid cooler and add more fans to the chassis to remove heat from the chassis.

Lower CPU and GPU temps

Install AIO CPU liquid cooler.

The GPU temps should drop unless you have an isolated graphics card problem (thermal paste failure).

You would have to disassemble the graphics card to reapply thermal paste.

Thank you for the insightful reply and suggestions! I'll certainly give them a look 🙂

Out of curiosity, if it is a chassis airflow problem, wouldn't it mean I should contact the manufacturer since it is a prebuilt PC, and therefore their issue as well?

Hi @MikkelG

My pleasure.

I didn't include this option as I thought the PC may be out of warranty.

Yes, contact HP if your PC is in warranty,

Regards
