Hi,

I have searched around on the internet without any luck.

I am looking into upgrading RAM and potentially CPU on my Omen 25L but I cant find any information on if that is possible or not. Which model om RAM do I need to get? Is it even possible to upgrade the CPU?

From the website I bought it from it was stated:
The computer has been developed for optimal performance but it can be easily customized to suit your needs thanks to the tool-free design for easy expansion of the internal components.

Appreciates the help, thanks!

Hello! PerYourHealth

Yes, you can upgrade the RAM and potentially the CPU on your HP Omen 25L, as it’s designed for easy expansion. Most models use DDR4 RAM, so check your current speed (e.g., 3200 MHz) and supported capacity. CPU upgrades depend on your motherboard’s socket (usually LGA 1200 for Intel or AM4 for AMD). Use a tool like CPU-Z to check your specs. If you share your exact model or CPU, more specific upgrade advice can be given.

Greetings @Jorgny

Welcome to the HP Forum.

I also cannot find MB specs for your PC. I did find this HP Site showing base config options for a GT14-2801no.

This GT14-2801no has;

- An Intel 14400F

- 16 GBs of RAM (2 x 8 GB memory sticks) at 4800 MT/s.

User Benchmark lists seventy-two GT14-2xxx PCs and component specs for each PC. Scroll down to see all PCs benchmarked.

Select each benchmarked PC in the above list to view details.

The only other CPU installed in this PC test group is an Intel 14700F.

You could check each HP PC benchmarked at User Benchmark for other component specifications including memory brand and specs.

It is, pretty much, a dead end when trying to find a HP 32 GB memory kit.

I did some SK Hynix and Samsung memory, running at 4400 MT/s, being used in certain HP PCs at the User Benchmark site.

Thanks for your reply!

Currently I am running:
8B1D 11 Motherboard

DDR5 8GB SK Hynix 4800MHz x2

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-14400F

I definately want to upgrade to 32gb but I am unsure which brand and speed I can use. Regarding the CPU I am thinking of either an i7 or i9 but I assume that I need to upgrade fans etc which I have read might be a problem due to the space in the chassi and motherboard limitations.

Greetings @Jorgny

My pleasure.

I would say you could only upgrade the CPU to an Intel: 14700 or a 14700F.

This User Benchmark user, having a HP 8B1D MB, is using Crucial memory (Micron) (2 x32 GB kit) running at 5600 MT/s.

You should check Crucial Memory.

Use the Scanner or do the manual selection method.

I'm sure Crucial Memory has 32 GB memory kits for your PC's MB.

Thank you once again,

So there is no way to see if for intance below would work in my setup?

Kingston FURY Beast 32GB DDR5 RAM 6000MT/s CL30

My pleasure.

My thoughts on pairing Kingston Fury Beast memory with your PC's MB.

Kingston memory may not be compatible with your PC's MB if you don't see anyone using this memory at User Benchmark.

You could try this memory. It may run at JEDEC speed and timings or the PC may not POST.

Make sure you can return this memory to the seller for a full refund if you decide to try it.
