Product: OMEN 25L Desktop PC GT12-1000a (ID 1Z1C0AV)

After updating my Omen 25L using windows update - there was a new bios or firmware installed. Since this was installed, my desktop wont boot - the fans and lights come on, but the screen doesnt. Tried the windows+B trick - nothing is working.  This was an official HP update from windows update.

for factory service if in warranty and you cannot recover the BIOS using all options at this site:

I have no idea if HP would cover this if you are in warranty. It is best to avoid automated BIOS updates from either Microsoft or HP.

 

The fixes if the MB is cooked and you can't recover the BIOS are: reprogram the BIOS chip, replace the BIOS chip, or replace the MB.
