I have an Omen 30L with an nVidia 3080. After a restart it just didn't display anything. The displays I have tried say no signal. Everything lights up and there is no damage or diagnostic beeps. I am out of warranty and not sure what to do.

Hi @OhKayla,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with your HP Omen 30L desktop. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the no display issue.
- Check Connections: Ensure that all cables, including the power cord, monitor cable (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.), and any other peripherals are securely connected to the desktop and monitor.
- Test with Different Monitor/Cable: Try connecting your desktop to a different monitor using a different cable. Sometimes, the issue might be with the monitor or the cable itself.
- Reset BIOS: Sometimes, resetting the BIOS can resolve display issues. To reset BIOS, power off your desktop, open the case, locate the CMOS battery on the motherboard, remove it for about 10-15 seconds, then reinsert it and restart your computer.
- Check GPU: Since you have an Nvidia RTX 3080, ensure that the GPU is securely seated in its slot. Sometimes reseating the GPU can fix connectivity issues.
- Inspect for Physical Damage: Check the GPU and motherboard for any signs of physical damage, such as burnt components or bulging capacitors.
- Test Integrated Graphics (if available): If your motherboard has integrated graphics, remove the RTX 3080 and connect your monitor directly to the motherboard's video output. This can help determine if the issue lies with the GPU or other components.
- BIOS Update: If possible, check if there's a BIOS update available for your motherboard. Sometimes, BIOS updates can address hardware compatibility issues.
- Power Supply Check: Ensure that your power supply unit (PSU) is functioning correctly and providing sufficient power to all components, especially with a high-power GPU like the RTX 3080.
- Check for Overheating: Ensure that your CPU and GPU are not overheating. Check if the fans are running properly and that there's no dust buildup causing overheating.
- External Display Output: If you have a laptop or another computer with an external display, try connecting your desktop to it to see if it outputs to an external display.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, it might indicate a deeper hardware problem with either the GPU, motherboard, or another component.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
