Hello, I have a Omen 30L with ryzen 7 5800x and a 3060 ti with 2 8gb ddr4 hyperx furys and a hp8876 ‘hana’. Today I bought 2 8gb ddr4 kingston furys after lightly looking at a few reddit posts and videos(which I definitely should’ve done more research on) I decided to put them in together and booted up my computer, first boot computer booted up with my custom rgb lighting on the computer but was black screened, assuming that turning off the computer and unplugging the new kingston rams would make the computer boot up fine but still black screened… tried going into bios but still black screened again but the pc seems to have gone into the bios because my second monitor didn’t turn on now am stuck regretting and wondering if I broke the motherboard or what happened. I have at&t home insurance so think I might have to go through them to get a part replaced but not knowing what to replace bums me out, I’m thinking I just broke my motherboard like many suggests on reddit but wanted to see if there’s a better answer here. Thanks!!

Hello,
Reseat the RAM:
Make sure all RAM modules are seated properly in their slots.
Try reseating the original HyperX Fury RAM (the 2x8GB) and removing the Kingston Fury RAM temporarily to see if it boots properly with just the original set.
Test RAM Modules Individually:
Try booting with only one RAM module at a time to rule out whether the Kingston RAM is faulty or incompatible. Test both the Kingston and HyperX RAM individually in different slots.
Clear the CMOS:
You can clear the CMOS by either using the reset button on the motherboard (if it has one) or by removing the motherboard battery for about 5 minutes and then reinserting it.
This will reset the BIOS settings to default, which might help resolve any configuration issues caused by the new RAM.
Check RAM Compatibility:
Double-check if the Kingston Fury RAM is compatible with your motherboard and if its specs (such as frequency, timings, and voltage) match the existing HyperX Fury RAM. Even if they're the same type (DDR4), mismatched speeds or voltages can cause instability. ForAgentsOnly com
Monitor Behavior:
When you boot, check if any diagnostic lights or beeps occur on your motherboard (if it has any diagnostics). This could give a clue as to whether the issue is RAM-related or something else.
Try Booting Without GPU:
Although unlikely, it’s possible that there’s a problem with the GPU or its connection. Try disconnecting the GPU and using integrated graphics (if your CPU has them) to see if the system boots without the GPU.
AT&T Insurance:
If you suspect hardware damage, it may be worth contacting AT&T for a replacement, but I'd try the above steps first to avoid unnecessary replacements. It's possible the motherboard isn't damaged; it could just be struggling with the RAM configuration.
Best Regards
