New, couple weeks now. PC will not sleep. Accessing sleep from the start menu gets the display off but the desktop never gets to a blinking power light. Disolay comes back with exoected wake up commands, kb, mouse, etc. Have looked at al the wake directives in all the hardware using Device Manager but find nothing unexpected. Powercfg -lastwake shows zip. Can any one help?

Hi@gdub3,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are experiencing sleep mode issues with the Omen 40L Desktop PC.
I have a few recommendations
- Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS from HP.COM.
- Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
- Disable or Enable Fast Startup via Control Panel
Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
- Control Panel Icon.
- “System and Security” option.
- “Power Options” button.
- Select Choose what the power buttons do from the list of options on the left. Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable. Now, untick the checkbox for Turn on fast startup, and click on Save changes at the bottom.
- The Fast Startup feature in Windows 11 will now be disabled.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

You can try doing Reset PC Keep my files from windows and check if it works.
The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.
