Omen 870-120
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I'd like to add 8gb more of ram, there are 3 empty slots for ram, I have one 8gb module now. Can I order another from HP or where can I find compatible modules for purchase?

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across you post and would like to help. I understand that you have an HP Omen Desktop PC - 870-120 and would like to add 8GB more memory.

I did some research and found that the motherboard of this PC supports 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB DDR4 DIMMs. It supports PC4-17000 (DDR4-2133). You may purchase the memory either from HP shopping website or contact an authorized retailer like Best Buy, Staples, etc. and purchase it from them.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Cheers! 🙂

I thought so as well but when I called HP support to buy another 8GB module they said HP was out of stock and I was given 2 part suppliers that I could order from. I was led to believe not just any ddr4-2133 ram would work.
