Omen 870-189 GPU upgrade or SLI

HP Recommended
Omen 870-189
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am looking to potentially upgrade the GPU in my Omen 870-189 desktop (GTX 1080 currently) and/or add another GPU to run in SLI. What is the wattage of the power supply of my desktop? And I see that the mount for the GPU gets in the way of a 2nd GPU being installed, how would I work around this? thanks!

Hi sunbudy

Do you have an Omen 870-189na?

The specs for the motherboard only show one PCIe x16 slot.

It would not be possible to add a second GTX 1080 card on this motherboard.

HP would also have to license SLI from Nvidia to offer this option.

Thanks very much for the reply! I do have the 870-189na (i7 6700, 32GB DDR4, GTX 1080, 512 SSD, 3TB HDD)

Shame SLI won't be possible, and if I have to switch out the motherboard, that will a proposition few years down the line, since it is still pretty new. Thanks again!
