Product: Omen 875
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a brand new out of box omen 875. As soon as I started gaming I was having major graphical problems. The screen would get pixelated turn green and purple then freeze and the computer would crash and restart. I thought it might be a problem with the nvidia video card at first. After looking over the computer I noticed it was overheating. So I converted it to liquid cooled. Now it idles at 29 celcius. Cpu utilization temperature is idling at 96 degrees celcius. I'm positive this is my problem anyone able to give me some info. Im kinda lost on what to do here.

What did you convert to liquid cooling? The GPU or CPU?

 

Is the GPU idling at 29 degrees Celsius?

 

Something is totally wrong with the CPU cooling if the CPU is running at 96 degrees Celsius with no load. This CPU temp is bad under any circumstance. It sounds like there is no TIM on the CPU heat spreader if the CPU is idling at 96 degrees Celsius.

 

I would suggest you contact HP for warranty support. You will have to go back to the factory configuration. Your warranty may be voided if you modified factory components.
