HP Omen 880-176

Hello ,

when. I try to remove the factory installed casefans and to use separate ones with an extra controller, the system won’t boot if I don’t confirm in 15 seconds before auto shutdown, because of missing fans (not CPU)

i don‘t see any way to deactivate this nor to change from PWM to Analog/Voltage for 3 pin fans.

the board seems to be an MSI one called Tampa 8437 used by HP.BIOS has got a Thermal menu but it just

shows the connected fans and their speed, I can‘t change anything.

Regards

Mike

Hi,

I don't see any work around when using an add on fan controller.

The MB cannot detect the fans. So you get an error message that you must override to boot the system.

Thank you I think so too 😞 , I thought maybe there is something like a hidden key combo to do this.

Hi Mike,

You're very welcome.

Maybe a different forum member has a solution.
