HP Omen 880-120na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there!

The app version of Omen Command Center is buggy: if the scaling is set to more than 100% on an ultrawide resolution (I use 150% on a 3440x1440 screen!) the bottom of the window gets cut off (especially when starting the app the first time, as the "accept terms and condition" button is beyond the screen area. A workaround is deactivating the scaling when using the app - or changing the resolution - but do you know if any fix is available? I used DPI compatibility mode in the old Win32 version of the app but the new UWP/Modern one (the one installed via the Microsoft Marketplace) doesn't support this.

Any solution? Please let me know! 🙂

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  • Is the app completely visible when you reduce the resolution?
  • Do you use more than on display?

Meanwhile, I recommend you adjust the display scaling settings and check if it helps.

  • Select Display > Change the size of text, apps, and other items, and then adjust the slider.

If you continue facing the issue, then follow the below steps.

In Explorer or on the Start menu, right-click the application name, select Properties, select the Compatibility tab, and then select the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings check box.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for posting back.

To get the answer to this question, the Recommended resolution on this monitor via DisplayPort: 3440 × 1440 (60 Hz) and HDMI: 3440 × 1440 (50 Hz)
It does not support 4k in 150% scaling.

Scaling has nothing to do with native resolution.
