Omen Obelisk
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently had to change the motherboard in my Omen Obelisk desktop, and was concerned about if the case lighting would still work properly. After everything was back up and running with the new motherboard, I naturally found Omen Command Center with no lighting options. The case lights are receiving power, however, but they are stuck at their default color.

I don't know anything about the compatibility of the light controller that is in the case, with other motherboards. On the original motherboard, there was a dedicated "light_bar" header, but it's just a USB 2.0 header, so I plugged in the light controller to one of those on the new motherboard. I also noticed the light controller had a SATA data port so I tried attaching it to the motherboard that way, still with no luck in Omen Commander Center.

What should I try, to fix this? Are there are other solutions, or do I need a new light controller?

@Masonzero , welcome back to the forum.

If the new motherboard is not made by HP or not from the original computer series, it is likely that the light function of the Omen Command Center won't work.

Here is a guide for Omen Commander Center.
