Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand the Omen Control for 870-224 tower isn't working,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Did you try reinstalling the software from the HP recovery manager?

If you haven't, Use the following steps to reinstall original software.

  1. In Windows, search for and open HP Recovery Manager.

If prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. If prompted by User Account Control to allow the program to make changes to the computer, click Yes.

  2. Under Help, click Reinstall drivers and/or applications and wait for Recovery Manager to generate a list.

(by the end of this document, all the issues should be resolved)

I'm having the same problem after Windows 10 update. Omen control has no effect, cannot get LED back on.

Additionally, I cannot reinstall any original drivers/software from HP Recovery assitant as that area is "disabled after Windows update"

Brilliant. No front LED at all now.
