Now I wonder, is this a windows issue, or omen issue

it was an windows update, sorry just seen this, i noticed my pc needed to be restarted to install an update and after that my omen app light control was working again.

I had a recent Windows but I still cant control my lights with Omen Gaming Hub. They can still be controlled with Windows Dynamic Lighting which does't have the setting I liked.

Did you install KB5065426 in Windows Update? This is the latest version of KB, not sure if it can fix the problem or not.

I just checked Windows update and it just says Windows 11, version 24H? No available updates though.

I went ahead and uninstalled version KB5065426 and the lights work perfectly now through the Omen Gaming Hub. Based on everything, I can confirm that it was a windows update that caused the issue for me.

If Omen Gaming Hub isn’t detecting your lighting devices, it’s usually a driver or software conflict. Try these steps:

  1. Update Omen Gaming Hub – Open the Microsoft Store and make sure you’re on the latest version.

  2. Check drivers & BIOS – Update your system drivers (especially chipset and lighting control drivers) and BIOS from HP Support.

  3. Restart Omen Light Studio service – In Windows Services, restart anything related to Omen/HP lighting.

  4. Reinstall Omen Gaming Hub – Uninstall completely, reboot, and reinstall from the Microsoft Store.

  5. Device compatibility – Only HP/Omen-certified peripherals show up in Omen Gaming Hub. If you’re using third-party devices, they won’t be detected.

If none of these work, reach out to HP Support with your model details — sometimes device-specific firmware updates are required.
