Hi,
My model is an OMEN 45L GT22-2005na.
To elaborate on my issue, it seems the LED RAM is uncontrollable in the Omen Light Studio app. I might have all LEDs elsewhere on the PC under the command of the Light Studio, while the LED RAM is defaulting itself to whatever it is set to specifically on the Omen Gaming Hub "Basic Lighting" page. This means my whole PC might be a certain effect, with the exception of the RAM which will be running through the standard rainbow circulation.
Cheers.

Hi @lukas151 ,
Thank you for your reply
I understand the issue with OMEN Light Studio not detecting LED RAM lighting is likely due to compatibility or software limitations between OMEN Light Studio and the RAM’s RGB controller. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:
1. Check RAM Compatibility
- Verify if your RAM model supports integration with OMEN Light Studio. Most likely, the RAM lighting is being controlled by its manufacturer’s RGB software.
- If it's not listed as compatible in the OMEN documentation, OMEN Light Studio may not be able to control it directly.
2. Update Software and Firmware
- OMEN Light Studio and Gaming Hub:
- Ensure OMEN Light Studio and OMEN Gaming Hub are fully updated.
- Go to Microsoft Store > Check for updates.
- System BIOS:
- Visit the HP Support website and check for the latest BIOS update for your OMEN 45L GT22-2005na.
- RAM RGB Software:
- If the RAM is from brands like Corsair, G.Skill, or Kingston, update their respective RGB control software (e.g., iCUE, Trident Z Lighting Control, or HyperX NGENUITY).
3. Disable Conflicting Software
- Multiple RGB control software can conflict and cause lighting control issues.
- Temporarily disable or uninstall other RGB software to ensure OMEN Light Studio has sole control over the lighting.
- Restart your PC after disabling conflicting apps.
4. Sync Lighting Settings
- If the RAM lighting is not detected:
- Open OMEN Gaming Hub and go to Basic Lighting.
- Match the RAM’s lighting settings here with the effects applied in OMEN Light Studio.
- Some manufacturers' RAM does not allow full control via OMEN Light Studio, but syncing settings in Gaming Hub can minimize mismatches.
Refer to this document: OMEN by HP PCs - OMEN Light Studio
How to Troubleshoot the lighting control board on the OMEN .
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
