Omen Obelisk 875-0000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently reset my PC and have since lost the control of the chassis light bar that illuminates the inside of the PC in OMEN Gaming Hub. The option to control the internal lights have disappeared but the option to control the logo on the front of the PC is still there. The internal light bar still turns on but is stuck to default red.

I've tried resetting the PC again, reinstalling OMEN Gaming Hub from the Microsoft store, uninstalling HP system event utility and checked the connections inside the PC but nothing gives me control of the lights in Gaming Hub anymore...

Anyone know where to fix this?

Hi@V1D3R0, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Request you to follow the below troubleshooting steps from the document:-

Let's uninstall the Omen Control and then download the latest version

  1. Open the Start menu.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click System on the Settings menu.
  4. Select Apps & Features from the left pane. ...
  5. Select the Omen Control app and uninstall.
  6. Follow the onscreen instructions

Restart the computer and download the Omen Control from this Link: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp76501-77000/sp76864.exe

Also install the System Event Utility from this Link: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp69001-69500/sp69229.exe

You can refer to this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c05238081 for more information on configuring the LED light

Hello @Praveenbv,

this seems to be outdated info as the newest version of Omen Control is now called Omen Gaming Hub and the link provided seems to be years old for "Omen Control". I did do it however. The link to System Event Utility is also a dead link so I was unable to download it from there.

Using Omen Control, I was unable to control the lights. Is there a reason that the up-to-date drivers would not work and that you are suggesting old drivers? If so, could you look specifically for drivers for the HP Omen Obelisk 875?

Thank you for trying!

V1D3R0,

We have done the basic troubleshooting as per the document and the notebook needs to checked taking remote access so that get to know it's a hardware or software issue.

I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support
