Hey Team, I’m not having any issues with my pc I currently in the process of upgrading the pc here are the specs https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05389962 or just google what my Omen pc specs are if the link is not working I upgraded the CPU and ram my question is I’m trying to upgrade my storage now because I only have 1TB hard drive what’s the best storage drive or ssd that is compatible with my PC cause I don’t want to buy one and have it not support my pc

Your computer has 3 SATA data headers, 2 are occupied (DVD drive and 1TB drive. The hard drive cage can support another hard drive with the last SATA data header. Special screws called Fillister 6x32 1/4 long. are used on the 3.5" hard drive. See this upgrade manual, pages 8 and 11. You will need a final SATA data cable 9just measure the existing cable from the original hard drive.
As the computer is SATA3 (600GB/s), an SSD would not be really faster given the throughput actually less than 600GB/s. As for sizing, a 2 or 3TB HD should be OK. Personally I don't like large drives, as complacency settles into disaster. Just remember that adding a 2nd hard drive that is constantly powered is IMHO, bad news. I prefer an external device for my file copying scheme.
