Omen X 900
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Omen X liquid cooling fan ramps up to very high / loud rpms only minutes after turning on.  It revs up so quickly and so loud that I don't think it can survive waiting for Windows to fully boot then run HP diagnostics to identify a specific failed component or get temp readings.  I ran the start up diagnostics for components and could see all fans were revving up fast but the CPU fan was ramping up much faster than the case and HD fans.  I think I shut down when the CPU fan got to 2,400+; the other fans were in the 1,000s.  I opened the case to confirm on closer inspection that the noise is coming from the fan connected to the liquid cooler over the CPU.  Any advise to confirm that I should or should not let the fan run at extreme rpms long enough to run windows based diagnostics?  Any advise to suggest that the failure is definitely the cooler component or what else could it be because I just need to replace parts until I find the problem.  This problem started actually more than a year ago but due to extenuating circumstances, I could not apply the time to work on it.   I am just now getting back to wanting to use this computer.  Just prior to this non-use period, I pulled a secondary hard drive that was going bad and I upgraded the bios from F.04 to F.25 on 1/29/20.

Mine was making this weird grinding/digital/creeking noises.  I saw one of the fans at top not spinning correctly and was checking for heat, then all of a sudden it like rushes on and pushes all this dust in a cloud in my face lol
