Hello @Chrissie4746

Not sure what you mean when you say you unlocked a USB socket, but USB does not deliver video signal.

You have to use a video out port like HDMI or DisplayPort.

What is the full model or product number of that computer and I can see what kind of ports it has.

You can find the 7 digit product number if you open the HP Support Assistant.

Hi Photoray002. Thanks for reply. Yes port we unblocked was hdmi. PC is Omen 4JT54 EA. The port was blocked with plastic cover which we removed Grandson (10) is a gamer and likes to have 2 screens running  If you have a solution we would be grateful. Thanks

No wonder. That was covered for a reason. It wont work.

You have a GTX 1080 video card installed separate from the cpu.

You have to use the ports on the card itself.

Here is a photo I found on the web and modified to further explain which one to use...

Also, if you are trying to use two monitors and they both use HDMI cables, you will have to get an adapter for either the DVI port or one of the 3 Display ports that are also on that card.

You can also buy a straight cable that is HDMI on one end and Displayport on the other

Best Buy sells adapters, or you can order them online.

Here is an example from Amazon...

Once you have a dedicated gfx onboard will be autoomaticaly disabled in bios , no need to use that port anyway instead use aditional port from your gfx , if you need aditional HDMI you need to search for dipalyport to hdmi cable or adapter , problem solved .
