Recently, a family member got an HP Omen 30l for my birthday party 3 days ago. I want to say this now, there is not a warranty on this computer. It was supposedly brought back to Best Buy and was sold again. Though, they were apparently never told that there was any problems with it.
Taking this into consideration, sending it back is not an option for us, and we do not have the money to replace it. Below, I have listed the full specifications of the computer, and steps I've already taken to try and fix the problem. This is my first time using a desktop, so there are most likely things I haven't tried yet.
Device Specifications:
- AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core
- Moria3 Motherboard
- 2x HyperX XMP RGB 8 GB
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (6 GB)
- 1 TB HDD
- 256 GB SSD
- Power Supply of 500 W
Things I've tried:
- Updated drivers
- Played games in compatibility mode
- Disabled Windows HDR
- Specifying the graphics processor in Windows settings
- Changed resolution
- Used DDU to completely uninstall drivers and tried using older NVIDIA drivers.
- Re-seated the graphics card
- Cleaned the case, made sure there wasn't any dust.
If anyone has a solution or could get back to me soon, that'd be great. I would really hate to not be able to use this computer.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I understand that your HP Omen Desktop is not working correctly. I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.
The last thing I can suggest trying to restore a computer back to the factory default, which will isolate whether it’s a software or hardware issue.
The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.
