Hi,
I’ve had this device for a couple years now with no issues. All the sudden, the desktop is unable to connect to the internet. I have both a wireless and Ethernet connection. The wireless connection says just says “no internet, secured”; the Ethernet just says no internet.
When I try to troubleshoot the issue, windows says that it cannot connect to the internet via the manually assigned IP address, and it suggests that I allow the IP to be assigned automatically via DCHP. But that is the configuration I’ve always used, and still am using. Both Ethernet and wireless are set to be assigned automatically via DCHP.
I’ve tried restarting my pc, uninstalling the relevant network drivers (the Realtek), performing a network reset, nothing works. I’ve also tried the windows troubleshooter, which failed. But now windows thinks my install of windows 11 (bought with my Omen desktop) is not legitimate. I can’t even authenticate it because the pc won’t connect to the internet. The desktop doesn’t even show up in the list of devices in the wifi manager app. But my phone and iPad connect via wifi just fine.
Lastly, I tried HP Network check, which said it is unable to fix my network issues at this time.
Any help appreciated,
Will
