On set up of new computer it can’t find network

I just received the HP Pav Gaming Desktop and when I do the set up for the first time when I get to the network set up it doesn’t find any networks. I have reset modem and it still doesn’t recognize the network. I have it hard wired. I can’t go any further with set up.

have you already installed windows , or are you trying to connect to the internet before the process is complete ?
If you are during the getting started process, you should be able to skip the internet connection step, skip this, continue until the end, and once done, and the computer open to your user account, check and create the connection
