Microsoft Windows 11

my pc seems to be slower than advertised randomly, after i have not done anything alarming or anything like that, and my warranty has expired what options do i have to make it work like it was advertised? i have tried factory resetting but it just stays the same. If I renew my warranty with HP will they be able to repair the pc? if anyone knows any reliable alternatives to this also let me know.
Edit: Ive not had it very long for a PC I believe; just over a year

Greetings @cheromani

Welcome to the HP Forum.

You recently did a clean factory reset. And the PC was still sluggish immediately after doing the reset.

What are you doing when the PC slows down? Are you gaming?

I checked your PC specs. They look pretty good, but not the best, for a mid-tier gaming PC..

You should be able to get many years of decent routine PC performance based upon the components installed at the factory.

Running AAA games on a 1440p monitor or higher resolution monitor at high game settings and doing video encoding will bring your PC to its knees.

Extending the warranty has certain limitations after the warranty expires.

A slow PC would generally not be considered a warranty item, if you could extend the warranty, unless a component was failing.

Have you run HP Diagnostics?

Check your PC's hardware using HP Diagnostics as follows:

Start the PC. Repeatedly tap the "ESC" key.

Select "F2". Run extensive system and component tests to confirm: a drive problem, a memory problem, or other component problem.

You might have to upgrade some of your PC's components if HP Diagnostics tests pass.

Regards
