I'm looking to upgrade my GPU, what are some compatible GPUs that are improvements from the 1650 I'm currently using?

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Your power supply is likely a 310-watt unit without a PCIe power cable. In order to upgrade your GPU, you will need to upgrade your power supply too.
Your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC TG01-0000i (8BG56AV), as fitted with a Rother motherboard (SSID: 8653), according to: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Power-Supply-Cross-Reference-for-specific-model..., can be upgraded with either a 400-watt PSU with p/n: 942332-001 or a 500-watt PSU with p/n: L05757-800.
The 500-watt power supply could power up to an RTX 3060 Ti model that is powered with either a single 8-pin PCIe power cable, such as the ASUS DUAL RTX 3070 SI 8GB GDDR6, or with one that is powered with a 6-pin PCIe and an 8-pin PCIe power cables, such as an MSI RTX 3070 TWIN FAN OC 8GB GDDR6.
The 400-watt power supply can power an RTX 2060, up to a lower powered RTX 3060, such as an HP (Dell) Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6.
Both power supplies can be purchased online, such as through eBay.
These are but a few graphics card upgrade options, but any choice is limited by your budget.
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,
