OMEN 30L: GT13-1074
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been hearing a sound coming out of the Cooler Master 500W Bronze power supply in my new desktop pc, HP Omen 30L.

I hear the sound most times when I'm actively using the PC, like scrolling through a webpage, open a new folder, click on start menu.

Then I found out that the fan inside the psu spins and stops repeatedly for half a second causing that sound. Like I mentioned, it happens whenever I do almost anything.

Is there a way I can make it stop spinning like this? Or perhaps keep it on all the time?

I would appreciate any suggestions you can provide.

I remember that the bios was updated at some point on day 1. Could the issue be due to that? I tried to rollback from F.02 to F.01 buy it failed because it was "unable  to open bios signature file."

I tried to download older bios file but it's not available on HP website. The only one I see is version "F.02 Rev.A" for HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS Update (ROM Family SSID 8876).

Could anyone please share with me a link to F.01 bios for omen 30l?

Please disregard. With help from HP, I was able to restore the bios but it didn't help. I was advised to return or exchange the unit and will do so.
