Pavilion 690 memory issue

I have desktop which have some memory issue.
I bought new memory moduls, 2xCorsair Venegeance LPX (2x16Gt, 3000Mhz).
Old module was Micron 8GT 2666Mhz.

Now this new 'fast' memory run only with 2133Mhz speed.
Can not find any way how to adjust memory speed from current bios.
Can not find either any info if dual channel XMP is supported (I assume not)

What should I do? any chance to update bios or is there any access to advanced bios or factory mode where are more options to change bios settings?

HPs cannot use overclocked memory. There is nothing you can do about it, its how HP purposely designs them.

Whats happening now is that the bios is starting the system with the new rams fail safe SPD Speed of 2166Mhz, but it is continuing to use that speed for Windows also.

To run at 2666Hhz, you would have to purchase compatible ram for your system.

I use Crucial's memory finder because the ram they recommend is money back guaranteed. Just a thought.

Thanks, I updated memory with HP original Micron memory module and now it's run with 2666Mhz with 16Gt.
