OMEN 25L Desktop PC GT12-0000i (7WM05AV)

PC turns on but no display and PC ports do not connect to my mouse or keyboard. My monitor screen reads the HDMI but the screen is still black. my brother tried connecting a wire onto the motherboard and it shut off and ever since then that problem has been happening for months I haven’t played at least for a couple months.

Hi @IIA1

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Did this symptom happen after your brother connected a wire to the MB?

Why would your brother do this?

Did you power on the PC or was the PC connected to AC power when this wire was physically connected to the MB?

This would not be good. It looks like the MB and possibly other components connected to the MB may be cooked.

Regards
