Post Warranty Plan Question

My computer was bought almost 2 years ago in a few months, meaning the warranty is long gone. I have been having problems lately with my PC, and really need it to be fixed. Tech support on the phone said it would be $400-$700 to be sent it to repair without warranty, but I see that I can buy a 1y Post Warranty for around $150 right now. Would it be possible for me to buy the Post Warranty right now and be able to send it in for free repairs like that? Please let me know as soon as possible, as I need this to be fixed before school starts again. Thank you for looking at my post.

From memory, it was necessary to subscribe to the extension at a certain time, it may be too late, or we can predict it in time
