Hi,
I tried to upgrade my HP GAMING PAVILION TG0 11414NO from NVIDA GeForce RTX 3060 to NVIDA GeForce RTX 5060Ti, but the BIOS and Windows don't show the graphic board and use the integrated AMD Ryzen-graphic processor instead.
The internal drive is a 512 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD and the PSU is on 400W, so I think that should be enough power to the GeForce RTX 5060Ti.
The BIOS, drivers and Windows is all updated.

My pleasure.
I build PCs.
Building PCs using standard components eliminates the roadblocks that may be encountered when upgrading OEM PCs.

Welcome to the HP Forum.
Tech PowerUp shows a 450 watt PSU requirement for both the 8 GB card and the 16 GB card. Both graphics cards need one eight pin PSU connection to power the card.
You should be able to run the new GPU using the HP 400 watt PSU. Your PC's 400 watt power supply should have the eight pin connector.
Maybe you have a faulty 5060 Ti??
Did you try disabling BIOS: Secure Boot and enabling Legacy support prior to installing the 5060 Ti? You have to save and exit the BIOS to enter a four digit confirmation code
HP's Secure Boot factory key database may not be able to ID the new 5060 Ti.

Hi Bill_To,
No I have not tried to disabling the BIOS: Secure Boot and enabling Legacy support prior to installing the 5060 Ti.
If I do, does the 5060 Ti "show up" and then work?
Best regards
Mike

The 5060 should show up if the problem is related to Secure Boot settings.
I can't say for sure but you should disable Secure Boot.
Then try the 5060 in a different PC if you can (can't) run the 5060 having Secure Boot turned off.
I'm sure the 3060 still works. You will have to use onboard graphics or the 3060 to disable Secure Boot.

Hi again Bill_To,
I tried to disabling the BIOS Secure Boot but my 5060 Ti don't show up.
I don't have another PC to try my 5060Ti on, so maybe the 5060Ti is broken.
Thank you for for all support!
Best regards
Mike

My pleasure.
Did you verify Secure Boot was off using Windows system information before installing the 5060
Sorry to see the 5060 does not work when Secure Boot is off.
Did you try the 3060 again to make sure something else is not happening?

Hi Bill_To,
My 3060 is running fine with Secure Boot disabled.
I went back to the reseller today with my 5060Ti and he tested it in a modern gaming PC without any problem, so the 5060Ti-problem is somewhere in my old PC.
Best regards
Mike

Greetings @Mike-965292
Thanks for the additional info.
That's weird, the 5060 is okay.
I can only guess the 400 watt HP power supply could be the problem. I have seen other folks in this Forum upgrade TG01 PCs having a 400 watt PSU to other, higher powered, Nvidia graphics cards with zero problems.
I can't verify upgrading to a 500 watt HP PSU would solve the problem. Let me know if you want to try a 500 watt HP PSU.
I had an older HP 560z PC that would not work with non-HP graphics cards.
So I don't know what's happening with your HP PC.

Hi Bill_To,
Thanks for your feedback regarding PSU.
I'm not sure that my 400W PSU is the problem.
450W is required for the 5060Ti maximum heavy load performance and not for the "180W-start-up".
I think it's time to build my own super-modern and "cheap" gaming PC 🙂
Best regards
Mike
