HP omen

I recently just got a new game and it lags so much it’s unbearable. I have 16GB of RAM and a nvidia gtx 1060. It should be able to handle the game. I tried deleting things from storage and opened up 315 GB of unused space and the lagging didn’t stop. Not sure what to do.

To better assist you, the members will need the exact model number or product number of your laptop/desktop or printer???

The amount of memory you have should be sufficient!!!

The only thing I can see as far as hardware upgrades would be the CPU.

You could go to the Intel Core i7-7700K (Kabylake) 4.2 GHz Quad Core:

It is 91w and the CPU you have now is 65w.

You may need to upgrade the CPU fan to a Liquid Cooling system?????

Or you could install Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel® XTU) and adjust he CPU current to adjust the temperature.

Untill you decide try this: "I do this to all of my laptops"

First thing would be to do a Disk Cleanup.

Check everything except Delivery Optimization Files

Then do a Disk Defrag. “OPTIMIZE”

Then go to Advanced System Settings.

 Advanced Settings.PNG

In the Performance box click on SETTINGS.

Click on Adjust for Best Performance.

Click on APPLY.

Then click on the ADVANCED tab.

In the Virtual Memory box click on CHANGE.

Uncheck everything except Custom Size:

Set Initial Size (MB): to a number higher than Recommended:

Then set Maximum Size (MB): To a number higher than the Initial Size (MB)

Click SET,  OK and reboot.
