In my instructions above, I asked you to force Windows to find updates. If you did that and there were no updates installed, then you have the latest Windows 10. I have not heard of your particular problem before. If a restore point didn't work, Im not sure whats going on.

 

If you go to the Search bar and type Services and hit the Enter key, look for HP Omen HSA in the list that pops up and see if its set to Running and Automatic.

Do you have the HP Support Assistant? If so, run it and see if it finds any updates also.

Otherwise, all I can offer is the do a reinstall of Windows.

i have had this twice, it is doing it to me now (as of a day ago) and also about 3 weeks ago, the way i "fixed" it last time was a complete reset of windows... not ideal, hp just has to get their "stuff" together and create a product that doesnt do this, im sure most dont try look for a fix, but i have the omen 2s, so my secondary screen is always displaying the command center with vital info...sorry for the bad news

@jmillsycould be right. Sometimes that is what has to be done and over all will save time rather than continue to troubleshoot to no avail.
