Yes. I gave you the link to the latest driver that you can put on your desktop now, so when you install the new card, you have it already to install. Either way works.

currently with the 1070 i have got a 1920x1080 monitor and was going to get another monitor. so with me getting a 2080 what would suggest getting. i was searching up monitors and got really confused if a needed a 4k monitor or something else.

would you suggest getting the same monitor or a different one

Do you need a 4K monitor or something else? Absolutely not. Its completely personal preference.

You can run 4K with an RTX 2080, but depending on which games you play (AAA games like BF5), you might as well get an RTX 2080ti. Running a 4K monitor is like running 4-1080 monitors at the same time. Its much more demanding on your graphics card. That's basically why people upgrade to a 2080 or ti.

If I was to upgrade a different monitor, I would rather get a 1920x1080 with a higher refresh rate like 144Hz. A new RTX 2080 will run a higher refresh rate just fine also.

BUT, if you are happy with the performance of your 75Hz ACER, then I would simply get another of the same. To me, its much more pleasing to view when both monitors match. It wont be near as demanding on the card, and the new card will stay relevant and usable longer into the future as game demands increase.

Perhaps if you are going to get a second ACER, I would wait on the other upgrades and see how it works for you. The 1070 is still a nice card since you aren't running 4K. Should be good for most games like CSGO, WOW, Overwatch and the like for quite a while. If you plan on streaming your game play on Twitch, your setup should work just fine as it is. Use one monitor for the game, the other for the stream interface.

I cannot find one these days. The part number I had wont work now and the link I had for one mysteriously doesn't work anymore.

All I can offer is to contact HP Store and ask them if they can sell you one.

@Grzwaczwould you have a working part number for an Omen 880 glass side panel for the parts surfer?

The CTO models no longer bring up that part number for me in the content lists.
