Hello I am a user of hp gaming laptop , now I am thinking of upgrading the laptop with 8gb ddr4 2400mhz  ram as my model as an empty slot for one but

There are different types of rams for the laptops like cl-17 sodium ,udimm, etc , can you please guide me to buy the correct ram for my specific hp gaming laptop . It would be a really big help for me

It has 8 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB) now. You can upgrade to

 

   (a) 16GB: add same 8GB to slot 2 or using the following compatible RAM

   (b) 32GB (max): install 16GB each to both slots using the following compatible RAM  (will run at 2400MHz)
