Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a question, I'm not having any issue with my G2, but had make a problem selection to continue here.  I'm getting a new PC soon, MB with thunderbolt ports, & RTX 3090.   Now I have the G2 plugged into my USB 2.0 port via USB-C to USB-A adapter.   Is it possible, & or any advantage to using thunderbolt, or video card ports for the G2?  TIA
