Ryzen 2nd Gen CPU Compatible with Higos Motherboard?

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Wondering if the new second generation amd cpu’s are compatible with the Higos motherboard. It does have an AM4 socket, which is compatible. But I heard that HP needs to update the bios so they can work. Is that true, when is that going to happen? I was about to buy the new Ryzen 5 2600x or the Ryzen 7 2700, but I read on this forum that it may need some bios update in order for it to work. Currently have the Ryzen 5 1400. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Greetings Ubhi97,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not an HP employee.

Sorry to tell you your MB will not see the Ryzen 2700 unless HP updates the BIOS microcode.

This is the latest BIOS update for your MB. The fixes don't specify adding additional processor support.

The best source for a definitive answer would be to contact HP Support.

Regards
