Hello,

I would like to switch of the frond red led light on my pc. After trying out different routes of installing software from hp to control the lighting I didn't manage to switch it of.

I wonder if there's any clean way to switch the lights off? if it's possible?

The below links I tried. there were also other before that I didn't document sorry about that.

The link above states that the computer doesn't support changing the light.

The step above could not be done because the hp omen controll is not preinstalled on my computer neither after installing it did it work out?

The answer from HP bod in the first link you posted:

The lights on the computer for your model cannot be controlled or turned off.

This is by design and cannot be changed.

Is correct.

Just for my understanding. All the desktops with the 880 number are unable to control the led lighting?

Thanks for the quick response!

As far as I'm concerned: yes.

You can open the case and remove the following connectors to get rid of the light:

The V-shaped lightning:

* Connector V Lights 1&2

The Omen logo:

* Connector Voodoo 1
