Pavilion TG01 0153 no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have just bought a new HP Pavilion TG01 0153 no and the case fan vent is not spinning/working at all. Do I need to change the vent? I am still obviously under guarantee but I need to know if this is usual and if its easily fixed.

Thanks!!

@Eze87 , welcome to the forum.

If you are comfortable with working on computers it may as easy as making certain the fan is fully connected.  Here is the Motherboard Specifications page:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-gaming-desktop-pc-tg01-0000i/29014479/document/c064...

You should look at the right facing side of the Motherboard diagram.  In the middle of the board is the "System Fan Connector".  It should be tightly connected.  If not, push on it carefully to connect it.  If this doesn't solve your problem you should contact the seller for help.  I want you to be able to enjoy your new computer, not fight problems.

@Eze87,

I do not have a definitive answer for you, but:

1) check the plug. Then test. If OK, then it is solved.

2) unplug the fan. test, it should detect the fan is missing, and issue an ERROR code.  If an error OK for #3.

3) plug in fan.  fan might be thermal. Off under low temps.  Run an intense program or game.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
