Hi. I have a problem because for about 4 hours my laptop has had the same amount of battery (99%) even though it is connected. I disconnected and turned on the power supply but it's still the same.

1. Battery Health Preservation

  • Modern laptops have smart charging mechanisms to extend battery lifespan. Continuously charging the battery to 100% can increase wear over time, so the system stops charging slightly below full capacity.

2. Calibration Issue

  • The battery calibration may be slightly off, and the system misinterprets the battery's full charge as 99%. Recalibrating the battery might help in this case.

Steps to recalibrate:

  1. Fully charge your laptop to 100%.
  2. Disconnect it from the charger and use it until the battery is completely drained.
  3. Let the laptop rest for a few hours.
  4. Charge it back to 100% without interruptions.

3. Power Plan Settings

  • Some laptops have power settings to prevent full charging. Check your system's power or battery management settings. *

4. Battery or Charger Issues

  • If your laptop stops at 99% regardless of how long it's charging, there could be a minor issue with the battery or charger. You can:
