HP Recommended
Product: HP 14s-dq0xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was just wondering if any body knows if the HP 14s-dq0xxx has a thunderbolt 3 port as i am trying to use a monitor with my laptop, currently i cannot seem to get a connection and I'm not sure why. If anybody can help i would be very grateful

What is your HP 14s-dq0xxx ? For example HP Notebook - 14s-dq0500sa, its specs

 

        https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06548699

 

which shows it does NOT have Thunderbolt 3 port. Your machine is probably the same
