Solved!

USB Ports on 35" Gaming Monitor

HP Recommended
OMEN X 35" Curved Display
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

For several months I fought a strange issue that seemed to come and go with what I thought was my Video Card (NVIDIA 1080 Ti) and a power issue.  After a lot of reading I discovered that the issue was trying to use the USB hub feature on the back of the monitor and once I discontinued use of that feature all issues disappeared.

But the USB hub feature is very desirable in my case, so where are the drivers for Windows 10 that will allow use of that USB feature?  Has anyone solved this driver issue?

Boy I  hate to admit stupidity, but it happens.

After this post I went back and did a search of saved CDs and found the one for the monitor.  Like most people I just assume Win 10 will grab whatever it needs to function properly, but I was wrong.

I popped in the CD and there were the drivers for the USB ports on the back of the monitor.  30 seconds later I was done and everything works.  I have three of these monitors and it found all three with no problems.
