I am considering purchasing a number of Omen X compact desktop as VR rigs. However, I know that Windows is very cranky about operation without a monitor. There are usb type c touchscreen monitors such as ASUS ZenScreen MB16AC. I have 3 questions :
1) Is the USB type C port video capable, or only USB?
2) Can an external touchscreen over USB type C be used as the primary display and input?
3) Will windows boot and login via such a solution?
I work with USB type C systems, and I know that running native video over USB type C port requires a USB type C switch to mux between USB and Display Port/HDMI sources. USB monitors often use native USB protocol with special USB driver to emulate a monitor. I am interested in concurrent native DP and USB 3.1 operation as described here:

In this configuration, the USB type C cable functions as both DP and USB 3.1 cables combined. But only if the board level components support it.
