Hi there

For some reasons I need to clear TPM on my Board/Device.

I've tried several steps to go about this, but failed in every way 🙂

How do I know if it failed? Afaik, in TPM-Management (on Windows) I should have the option "Prepare TPM" available (not greyed out) after the Clear was successful.

What did I try?

1. TPM-Management (Windows) -> Clear TPM

Reboots Windows, but doesn't "do" anything

2. Enter BIOS, Security Settings -> Clear TPM -> Yes -> Save&Exit with F10

Device Reboots, shows Black Screen, Reboots again and boots Windows

However, TPM still isn't cleared

3. BIOS -> Disable/Hide TPM, Boot Windows, BIOS Enable TPM again

Still nothing

4. BIOS -> Factory Reset Security Settings

Still nothing

5. Update BIOS, Try Clearing TPM via BIOS

Still nothing

I hope you understand my frustration 😕

After Clearing TPM in BIOS and rebooting, should I get a prompt to confirm the Action? F1 / Y or anything? I don't see anything on the screen.

Do you have any other ideas what to do?

EDIT:

Regarding BIOS-GUI there should be a "Physical Presence Prompt". However, nothing of that sort pops up after enabling Clear TPM (Yes), Confirming with F10 and letting the System reboot.

The screen stays black after booting and system reboots again after 1-3 seconds.
I don't think it's my video driver/cable/card as BIOS is normally visible and the time for this "Presence Check" would be very short.

Best regards

Roman

Anyone with an OMEN-Desktop and no Bitlocker (or anything else needing TPM) active - do you get a visible Prompt after resetting TPM?
