Hello:

I see that the Higos motherboard (HP 8309) support the Ryzen 7 1700 and 1800x CPU in the compatibility list.

But don't appers the model 1700x... is a 1700 with a TDP pf 95 W instead of 65 W.... like the 1800x. I think this OK?

Is possible to upgrade to 1700x?

Thanks.

Hi TRiTiO,

Your question has no definite solution.

HP has not tested a 1700x but it should work as your motherboard supports 1800x @95 watts.

Why don't you do a 1800x as it should work? The 1700x should also work but HP is not identifying this part as a verified upgrade path.

HP has a BIOS update for your motherboard (no mention of adding additional processor support) at this (Link).

@tRiTiO  Good to know.

What cooler are you using? Did you upgrade that also?

Which heatsink or cooler did you put on it?
