Upgrading GTX 960 to GTX 1080

HP Recommended
Omen PC 870-168d
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HI, I am using

PC OMEN BY HP 870-168d :
Windows 10 Home Single Language 64-bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz
Ram 16GB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960

So my question is can I upgrade GTX 960 to GTX 1080? Do I need to change the processor too? what about the voltage? I need more details on this, thank you for your time!

Hi,

Your PC should be able to run the NVIDIA GTX 1080.  Open up the PC and read the label on the power supply.  What is the total wattage?  Is it 500 watts?  While the PC is open, do some measuring inside and post the maximum length for a graphics card.

If you decide to go with the 1080 and your PSU is only 500 watts then you should replace it with a 600+ watt PSU as some of the 1080s are high power draw.
