Upgrading graphics card in Omen 880z

HP Recommended
HP Omen 880-010z
My wife suprised me with a new gaming computer. I haven’t received it yet, but I know I want to upgrade the graphics card when it arrives. She purchased the HP Omen 880 010z with a Nvidia GTX1060 3g graphics card. I’m wanting to upgrade to an ASUS ROG STRIX 1070ti but I’m unsure if it will fit.

Does anyone have the measurements for the Omen or know if this card will fit?

Greetings Rob,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not an HP employee.

HP does not list the dimensions of the 1060 installed at the factory. You will have to check for clearance in the chassis, the motherboard, and back I/O.

The ASUS 1070 Ti is 11.73 inches in length and requires 2.5 slot clearance. To clarify the 2.5 slot clearance; the card will require two adjacent slots. Some areas of the card, inside the chassis, will extend to one half of the space where a third device could be installed.

The ASUS 1070 Ti requires a 500 watt PSU with one eight pin PCIe connector. Your PC should meet this requirement.
