Product: tg01-0170m
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have a HP Pavilion Gaming TG01-0170m w/ a 400w PSU.  Looking to upgrade the GPU, and was wondering if the L81009-800 PSU rated for 500w would be compatable since most newer GPUs risk triggering the overcurrent protection on a 400w PSU now.

Is the PSU specific to a certain type of processor since it is not modular?  or can the L81009-800 be used with either a AMD Ryzen  or Intel chipset?  (I'm using a Ryzen 7 3700x but may also upgrade to a 5700g)

check the motherboard version
then look at this document created by an expert
Power Supply Cross Reference for specific models

 

you should be able to use

500w L05757-800
