Hello,

I have a Victus 15L Gaming Desktop TG02 with AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and motherboard HP Erica8 (SSID 89D8). Current BIOS is F.28 (September 2025) with AMD fTPM version 3.94.0.5.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 (full launch) requires valid TPM attestation. Version 3.94.0.5 (.0.x series) causes attestation failure and blocks game launch (Ricochet anti-cheat).

AMD PA-420 and Activision confirm that fTPM 3.94.2.5 or higher is required.

Questions: 1. When will HP release a BIOS update (F.29 or later) with fTPM 3.94.2.5+ for Victus 15L TG02 (Erica8 SSID 89D8)? 2. Will this update be available for my exact model?

Get-Tpm output: - TpmPresent: True - ManufacturerVersion: 3.94.0.5 - RestartPending: True

Thank you. maybe you have some beta link for bios ?

Hi @Rayzenn,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Here’s what I found regarding your questions aboutHere’s what I found regarding your questions about the Victus 15L TG02 (Erica8 SSID 89D8) BIOS update for AMD fTPM:

Current Situation

  • Your system is on BIOS F.28 (Sept 2025) with fTPM 3.94.0.5.
  • Call of Duty Black Ops 7 and Ricochet anti-cheat require fTPM 3.94.2.5 or higher for TPM attestation.
  • AMD and Activision confirm this requirement.

Will It Be Available for Your Model?

Yes. Erica8 (SSID 89D8) is the standard motherboard for Victus 15L TG02 AMD builds, and HP typically provides BIOS updates for all SSID variants in the same family. Expect F.29 or higher to include:

  • fTPM 3.94.2.5+
  • Security patches and stability fixes.

Beta BIOS Access

HP does not provide public beta BIOS downloads. Any early release is handled internally or through HP support channels. The safest way:

  • Check your model’s official driver page regularly: 👉 Official HP® Support
  • Enable HP Support Assistant auto-update.

What You Can Do Now

  • Confirm your SSID (89D8) in System Information.
  • Keep HP Support Assistant updated.
  • Bookmark the HP driver page above.
  • Avoid unofficial BIOS files. HP warns that this can brick the system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

How is it possible that HP is not doing anything to solve this issue with their motherboards?

All games that use TPM 2.0 for anti-cheat cannot be played. I'm surprised to see that more affected customers aren't complaining, but we're talking about a problem on a PC that still sells for €1,000 today.

Hopefully someone at HP will take notice soon, but for now, we need to keep discussing the issue in forums so that people are aware of it and HP's practices with its products.
