I have a HP pavilion gaming pc with a HP 8643 Motherboard with a ryzen 5 3500 6-Core. I wanted to know what graphics cards I would be able to upgrade to. Also how do I know what power supply to get?

Greetings @Zeroleafclover

The HP 8643 MB also known as the Erica MB is installed in HP Pavilion PCs or HP Victus PCs.

You would have to ID the installed power supply wattage to see what your GPU upgrade options are.

Graphics Card Upgrade Options:

Check this YouTube video for GPU upgrade options if you have a HP: 400 watt PSU or 500 watt PSU. Click the "more" link below the video for links to GPU purchase options at the time the video was released.

GPU availability is kind of spotty at this time. Many GPUs at the above video link may not be available.

Recent Graphics Cards:

You would have to check your PC's case dimensions to verify newer graphics card dimensions will work with your case. You can do around a nine inch to 9.5 inch dual slot/dual fan graphics in the case.

You would have to check newer graphics card power supply requirements for compatibility with the HP 500 watt power supply.

By the way, a 650 watt HP power supply option exists if you are interested.

Power Supply Upgrade Options:

You can purchase a 400 watt or 500 watt HP PSU at eBay.

HP 400 watt PSU, Part number L04618-800

HP 500 watt PSU, Part number L05757-800

Shop for the lowest HP power supply price at eBay. Make sure the seller offers returns.
