OMEN Laptop - 15t-dh100 CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

These are the current specs to my machine. I was looking at updating the hard drive to a 2TB, the ram to 32GB, and the graphics card. Any recommendations?

1. Firstly: for the graphics card you have to buy a whole new system board, you can't simply replace it because it is soldered to its system board.

 

2. For RAM, you can use same Micron RAM with two 16GB RAM sticks

 

3. For Storage: It has Samsung M.2 NVMe SSD now, you can use

         https://www.samsung.com/au/memory-storage/nvme-ssd/970-evo-nvme-m-2-ssd-500gb-mz-v7e500bw/

 

Back to 1: That is a very expensive upgrade because you have to pay for

  • New motherboard
  • New CPU
  • New video card
  • New license of Windows

Because all 4 above components are integrated on one piece of hardware called System board.

Sorry, did not realize that I would need a whole new board. I had been told when I got the laptop that the graphics card was separate and I could update it. Oh well. Since I cannot upgrade that I will probably just upgrade the hard drive. Thank you for your help.
