Hp Pavilion tg01-0021no

Hi,

I have ordered Corsair H60 water cooler for my Hp Pavilion tg01-0021no.

Now I am concerned that the motherboard doesnt support it.

I know that the Erica Mobo has CPU cooler fittings for intel and then the CPU socket is AM4. However this watercooler says it supports most intel sockets as well as AM4, so, we´re good then?

Do you think that I will run into trouble on the motherboard? I know that the cooler and fan will fit.

Many thanks for advice!

@LegendSvante , welcome to the Community.

HP has their motherboards made to their specifications.  Therefore, they are not necessarily the same as a retail board.  I believe that you will have to remove the motherboard to add the back plate that comes with the H60 liquid cooler.  Here is a very good video that will show you how to install it:

I suggest that you contact Corsair's Tech Support to see if they can tell you if the cooler is compatible with your motherboard.  They are the experts on their products.

Its not going to work, only Asatek 645LT can fit in the case and be mounted successfully. You will be better just getting a good air cooling solution, I am having a lengthy video on the TG-01 coming up today.

I have concluded the very same thing actually and have changed the order to two fans.

Interesting. I would gladly see the video. Could you post a link here?

I’ve considered posting video about my upgrade to the 650w atx PSU that I did.

Another thing. I have two 16gb RAM memories, but the computer recognizes them as 2 8Gb. Do you know if this is common? Can it be corrected in Ryzen Master perhaps?

Unfortunately I am not allowed to post links to my videos here, but if you do a search on the net or on that popular platform with the red play button logo with my user name on it, you will find it 🙂

I absolutely love the TG01, and I successfully upgraded the stock cooling solution to Scythe Big Shuriken 3, my favorite for small OEM builds, and I added an intake fan, which is a must! As for the memory, I am not sure about the 2x16, but technically the motherboard supports it, I am using 2x8 V-Color RGB kit, had to play around with Ryzen Master and timings to get it where it needs to be, but now is just excellent.

Power supply, I am not planning to upgrade as the 400W stock PSU is very good and can feed RTX2070/3060 without any issues, tested multiple times and the power draw is not coming even close to 300W.

Ok! I had allready watched all pavilion videos on the channel. Recognized you from the upgrades mentioned above. Really nice work. The fan looks really good.

Interesting to hear about your wattage use. I dont know if you could find a 400w upgrade hp psu anymore though so there is a risk that anyone with 310w now looking to upgrade would have to use atx.

I am  also mounting an intake fan but I have no mounting plate, so will have to attach it to the side plate. Dont know how yet. Perhaps glue?

Now I am heading over to see a video. Will be interesting. Take care.

If you don't have the plate, just buy one from ebay or HP parts, I am sure they will have it. As for the PSU, both the 400W and upgraded 500W are available trough parts.hp.com, also I have seen them on ebay on somewhat reasonable price.
